Macromedia Developer's Pack
The Macromedia Developer's Pack CD-ROM disc contains Authorware Star 2.0.1,
Action! SE 2.5.1, and ClipMedia Volume 2.
*** PROGRAM NOTES ***
In addition, a program named CONVERT.EXE is in the root directory of the CD.
This is a Windows based program which converts GIF, TIF, EPS, and PCX files
to BMP or WMF file formats to enable you to import them into Action!.
If you run CONVERT from the CD-ROM, you can only convert to the clipboard.
To convert to BMP or WMF format, you must run CONVERT from the hard drive.
Copy CONVERT.EXE, CONVERT.INI, and CGI_DGI.DLL to your hard drive from the
root of the CD.
*** INSTALLATION NOTES ***
To create icons to enable you to run Action! and Authorware Star on the CD:
1. Open the Run dialog box in Program Manager's File menu.
2. Enter the drive letter assigned to this CD followed by
":\INSTALL" (e.g. D:\INSTALL if your CD is drive D.)
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
4. This procedure does not include the installation of Video for Windows. To
install Video for Windows version 1.1, follow the instructions later in this
document.
To install Authorware Star to your hard drive:
1. Open the Run dialog box in Program Manager's File menu.
2. Enter the drive letter assigned to this CD followed by
":\INS_AUTH\INSTALL" (e.g. D:\INS_AUTH\INSTALL if your CD is drive D.)
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. A full installation
requires about 5.1 MB.
4. This procedure does not include the installation of Video for Windows. To
install Video for Windows version 1.1, follow the instructions later in this
document.
To install Action to your hard drive:
1. Open the Run dialog box in Program Manager's File menu.
2. Enter the drive letter assigned to this CD followed by
":\INS_ACT\INSTALL" (e.g. D:\INS_ACT\INSTALL if your CD is drive D.)
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. A full installation
requires about 10.3 MB.
4. This procedure installs the drivers Video for Windows 1.0 drivers on
your system. To update to version 1.1, follow the instructions in the next
section of this document.
To install Video for Windows to your hard drive:
1. Open the Run dialog box in Program Manager's File menu.
2. Enter the drive letter assigned to this CD followed by
":\VFW\SETUP" (e.g. D:\VFW\SETUP if your CD is drive D.
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
*** CLIPMEDIA VOLUME 2 NOTES ***
The CLIPMED2 directory contains the full copy of ClipMedia Volume 2:
Industry at Work.

U S A G E R E S T R I C T I O N S
- You may use ClipMedia Volume 2 on only 1 computer at a time.
- You may modify the clips and tailor them to your own needs.
- You may import the clips into a larger produced work.
- You may re-distribute the clips as part of a larger production
as long as that production is not as a library of media for reuse.
